WHITEHORSE
Superstar
Sponsored by Talkeetna Fishing Lodge
Whitehorse is truly the wild, crazy-fun pirate, on the pirate ship swinging from mast to mast entirely fearless, laughing and screaming at the top of his lungs with joy…! This dog is stoked. Whitehorse loves food. Whitehorse loves running. Whitehorse loves a good cuddle. This is just one of those bigger-than-life, super-fun personalities. And he is a one heck of a work horse. A bit of a unicorn really! Indeed he IS a horse of a guy, and he IS white (that's, when not covered in what-ever fun stuff, be it mud or meat scraps). He is actually named after the city of Whitehorse, the capital in the Yukon Territory in Canada. That in turn is named after the historic wild rapids on the Yukon River, "with the white foam on the crazy waves resembling the flowing manes of charging horses"!

Whitehorse ran a phenomenal 2017 Iditarod across the finish-line, but then had to sit out in 2018 because of injury. He is now in full training again for the 2019 race season!
