The 2018 Champion Iditarod Medalion is the first of its kind. -- and on the front it features the Champion: Joar Leifseth Ulsom sitting at with his two Yellow Roses lead dogs Russeren and Olive at the finishline in Nome. Russeren (left) also received Iditarod's Golden Harness Lead Dog Award .
50 % of the cost of the medalion is donated to Joar Leifseth Ulsom and his kennel of dogs! Note: this is not the case when bought elsewhere.
In addition, a donation from the sale of each medallion is made to the Iditarod committee to help bring back the race year after year.
